Montego Bay

Doctor's Cave Beach So many places to see, things to do! Day or night, Montego Bay is a wonderful city. Shopping in the craft malls for island treasures, buying handmade leather sandals or just strolling along to people watch can keep visitors to Anchor Listing quite busy. By day, Montego Bay is a bustling city. Visit Doctor's Cave Beach, one of the most pleasant and famous beaches in the Carribean, located in the heart of downtown.

Go snorkeling in the reefs just off the downtown coastline in a glass bottom boat. The nightlife in Montego Bay is a non-stop cabaret of places to go, music and dancing. Visit the Casino and play the slots, or spend your nights dancing at Margaritaville or one of the nightclubs located in the area hotels. Ask John to take you to a little out-of-the-way spot for a live music treat. Go to the Jonkanoo Beach Party, where masked and costumed dancers perform every Saturday night.
Water wheel at Tryall There are also four 18 hole golf courses a short drive from Anchor Listing. Tryall Golf Club is about 6 miles west of the Villa. It is truly a beautiful course and has excellent tennis courts as well. See the large working Water Wheel after playing golf or tennis there.
Visit the Greenwood Great House, the Bird Sanctuary or Rose Hall Great House, the grandest and most famous house in the West Indies. The mansion and grounds are restored to their original grandeur and worth seeing.

An Evening on the Great River

No visit to the Villa would be complete without a trip down the Great River. Just a few miles away from the Villa is a delightful evening of entertainment, fun and a feast that would delight Henry IIIV! As you arrive, Jamaican tour guides hand you a delicious rum punch, and escort you onto large canoes for an evening trip up the torchlit Great River. Fire dancer at the Great River
Guests disembark at a reconstructed Arawak village for a wonderful Jamaican buffet dinner, with open bar included and an exciting floor show complete with live island music, dancers, and exotic performers. The entire performance is so entertaining you'll want to return to enjoy it all again! It must be seen to be believed.

Negril

Negril Beach is on the westerly tip of the island. It is a 7 mile stretch of unbroken white sand beach about 1-1/2 hours from the Villa. Water skiing, scuba diving and snorkeling in the many reefs, sailing, parasailing, swimming and relaxing on the beach are wonderful things to do while visiting Negril. The beach at Negril
sunset at Negril Ask Carlene to pack a picnic lunch and spend the day there soaking up the sun and stay for the sunset - it will take your breath away. Rick's Cafe is a popular tourist attraction, with a large bar, continental cuisine, and cliff diving for the entertainment of its patrons. Margaritaville is another popular nightspot, with a Carribean bar and grill, waterslides and live music. If you desire a place with more local flavor, ask John to take you to one of the many restaurants for a dining experience unlike any other.

Ocho Rios

Dunn's River Falls Ocho Rios is about 70 miles east of the villa. It's a lovely drive, with the Green Grotto and Runaway Caves on the way. Take a boat ride on the Green Grotto lake, inside the very earth itself. In Ocho Rios, go duty free shopping, or climb the magnificent Dunn's River Falls, a freshwater waterfall noted for it's scenic beauty as it tumbles down into the ocean. Take a relaxing break to sip tea English style at Shaw Park Gardens, or ask John to detour to Fern Gully, a winding, scenic 4 mile road through a picturesque valley of ferns.

With so many things to see and do in Jamaica, it would be impossible to list them all. Let John Chambers know your interests and he can help you select activities and sightseeing trips to compliment any age and fitness level.
